The Etiquette School

About The Programme

Building Confidence, Character & Social Intelligence

We prepare young people with the confidence, presence, and life skills needed to navigate school, social spaces, and future professional environments with ease.

The Ubuntu Youth Etiquette Programme (UYEP) is a modern cotillion experience designed to develop confident, respectful, and socially aware young people.

At Phola Mzansi, we go beyond traditional etiquette. We focus on identity, dignity, and practical life skills — helping participants understand how to carry themselves, communicate effectively, and engage with others in a meaningful and respectful way.

Rooted in Ubuntu and cultural awareness, the programme equips young people to show up with confidence in any environment.

Why It Matters

Why Etiquette & Life Skills Matter Today

The Etiquette School equips them with confidence, communication skills, and social awareness to navigate school, relationships, and future opportunities with ease.

What Makes This Programme Unique

More Than Etiquette —
A Transformational Experience

The Ubuntu Youth Etiquette Programme is designed to go beyond traditional etiquette by developing confidence, identity, and social intelligence in young people. Rooted in Ubuntu and culturally grounded practices, the programme equips participants with life skills that prepare them for school, leadership, and future opportunities.

01

Narrative Identity Approach

Tree of Life Methodology

We use a narrative-based approach that helps young people build self-awareness, confidence, and a strong sense of identity. Participants learn to recognise their strengths, develop self-worth, and connect meaningfully with others.

02

Rooted in Ubuntu & Cultural Values

The programme is grounded in African values of respect, dignity, and community. Participants develop cultural awareness and learn to navigate diverse environments with confidence and understanding.

03

Leadership & Real-World Readiness

Beyond etiquette, the programme develops leadership presence, communication skills, and social intelligence — preparing young people for university, professional spaces, and a global world
